Our theme at Gospel Light Independent Baptist Church is “My Church is my Family.” We are a family of individuals who have put their faith in Jesus Christ alone for eternal salvation. If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior, then we would be happy to talk to you about it and show you what the Bible teaches about how you can know for sure you are on your way to Heaven.

Gospel Light Independent Baptist Church is an Independent Baptist Church founded up the Word of God. We are united together in our purpose to love God and one another; to grow together in Christ, and to serve others.
We are also united in our belief about the truths from the Bible, and we accept God’s Word as our Final Authority.

Baptism after Salvation:
After you have accepted Christ as your personal Saviour, you may follow God’s command to be baptized by immersion here at Gospel Light Independent Baptist Church. Baptism is not necessary for salvation; it is simply a public testimony of your faith. At the conclusion of most of our services, we have a time where those who are saved can be baptized at the church. As you follow Christ in baptism you will be added as a member of Gospel Light Independent Baptist Church.
Statement of Faith or Transfer of Letter:
If you have already accepted Christ and have been baptized in a Baptist church whose doctrine is in agreement with Gospel Light Independent Baptist Church, you may present your testimony of salvation and be voted into membership by your statement of faith or transfer of membership from another Baptist church.
You may do this by visiting the church office during the week or by stepping forward and speaking with a church worker during the invitation in any church service.
Upon the church worker speaking with you about your salvation testimony, baptism, and church membership your information will then be given to the Pastor for consideration for church membership. After your information has been confirmed then you may be voted into church membership during a church service.
Statement of Faith by Baptism:
If you have accepted Jesus Christ by Faith and have not been baptized in a Baptist church of like faith, you will be asked to publicly identify with Christ and the Gospel Light Independent Baptist Church by being baptized into our membership.
This is also true if your mode of baptism was other than immersion, or if the doctrine was different in your previous church. Gospel Light Independent Baptist Church is committed to maintaining a doctrinal unity in this day of confusion and doctrinal compromise. If you believe that God has led you to this church, and if you understand that baptism is simply a testimony of your faith, we invite you to identify with Christ and the Gospel Light Independent Baptist Church by being baptized as the Lord leads you.
4- Membership Responsibilities
We believe that a church member should: be faithful to church services; support the local church with tithes and offerings; be committed to God’s Word, the church, the Pastor, and to one another; and be dedicated to reaching lost people with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Members are removed from the church roll when they stop attending Gospel Light Independent Baptist or when they join another church. They may also be removed as a result of willful, intentional, and open sinful behavior that is unbecoming to a Christian and harmful to the church family.
